Data Protection

Data protection is very important in the medical branch, since patients and clients are often worried about the security of their sensitive data – and rightly so, since even legally mandated data protection standards are not stringent enough.

Here at the Zensitively® Institute, we take the security of our clients' and therapists' data very seriously and therefore use only the most advanced, up-to-date and robust technologies. Our benchmark is the American HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) standard, which is considerably more stringent than its German equivalent. Although we are not required to, we adhere to this as far as possible whenever handling client data, right from the entry of sensitive information into the appointment calendar.

Data Protection on Our Websites

It is important to note that our webpage itself (www.zensitively.com) is not intended for interactions with clients or patients, except as a way to access our contact forms. That means that simple websurfing (browsing and reading) and booking non-therapeutic events via the webpage is not subject to the more stringent, self-imposed medical data protection standards, but only the usual protections applicable to ordinary webpages. These protections are outlined in our data protection policy below.

Data ProtectionThe following information relates to our data protection policy. Here, you will find information about the collection and use of personal data related to use of this webpage. We operate in compliance with German data protection law. You can access this policy from our webpage at any time.

We would like to draw attention to the fact that online data transfer (e.g. during email correspondence) is subject to security gaps and cannot be completely shielded from third-party access.

The use of the contact details in our masthead for commercial advertising purposes is expressly undesired, unless we have given previous written permission or in the context of an existing business relationship. The service provider and everyone named on this website hereby deny permission for any and all commercial use or circulation of their data.

Personal DataYou can visit our website without providing any personal data. Any personal data (such as name, address or email address) collected by our websites is done on a voluntary basis, whenever possible. This data will not be passed on to third parties without your express permission. Should you enter into, modify or amend a contractual relationship with us or submit an enquiry, we will collect and use your personal data as needed for these specific purposes (inventory data). We collect, process and use personal data as needed to permit you to use our online services (usage data). All personal data will only be stored while needed for these specified purposes (processing your enquiry or finalising a contract), in compliance with the maximum retention periods specified by tax and commercial law. In individual cases, we may share information about this data (inventory data) on the orders of the relevant authorities if needed for the purposes of criminal prosecution, hazard prevention, fulfilment of the legal obligations of the German Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution or the military counterespionage service or to enforce intellectual property rights.

Users of our website, which incorporates the Facebook plugin ("like" button), are hereby advised that the plugin creates a connection to Facebook, which establishes a connection with your browser, to allow the plugin to appear on the website. In addition, on use, data is sent to Facebook's servers, which receive information about your visits to our website's homepage. If you are a logged-in Facebook user, this means that the usage data will be associated with your personal Facebook account. As long as you are logged in to Facebook and make active use of the Facebook plugin (e.g. by clicking on the "like" button or using the comment function) that data will be transferred to and published on your Facebook account. You can find further information on Facebook's data use in Facebook's data protection policy at http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php.

Data Protection Policy for the Web Analysis Service Google AnalyticsThis website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies": text data that are stored on your computer and permit analysis of your use of the website. Information on your use of the website produced by the cookie is generally transmitted to a Google server in the US, where it is stored. We have activated IP anonymisation. If you are using this website within a European Union member state or European Economic Area Agreement signatory state, your IP address will therefore first be abbreviated by Google. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be communicated to a Google server in the US and abbreviated there. Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity on behalf of the provider and provide the website provider with other services related to website and internet use. The IP address of your browser that is shared in connection with Google Analytics will not be linked to other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the relevant browser settings: however, we must advise you that this may prevent you from being able to fully utilise all the functions of this website. In addition, you can prevent the cookie from producing data connected with your use of the website (incl. your IP address) for Google and prevent Google from processing such data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available from the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Data Protection Policy for the Online Advertising Service Google AdsenseThis website uses Google Adsense, an online advertising service of Google Inc., USA (“Google”). Google Adsense uses so-called "cookies": text data that are stored on your computer and permit analysis of your use of the website. Google Adsense also uses so-called “web beacons” (small, invisible graphics) to collect information. Use of the web beacon allows simple actions, such as website visits, to be recorded and collected. Information on your use of the website produced by the cookie or web beacon (incl. your IP address) is generally transmitted to a Google server in the US, where it is stored. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of website advertisements, compile reports on website activities and advertisements for the website operator and provide other services related to website and internet use. Google will share this information with third parties if legally required or if third parties are processing this information on Google's behalf. Google will never link your IP address to other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being stored on your hard drive and web beacons from being displayed by selecting "Do not accept cookies" from your browser settings: in MS Explorer, see “Extras > Internet Options > Data Protection > Settings”; in Firefox, see “Extras > Settings > Data Protection > Cookies.” However, we must advise you that this may prevent you from fully utilising all the functions of this website. Data Protection Policy for Google Inc.'s "Google AdWords Conversion Tracking" functionThis website uses the "Google AdWords Conversion Tracking" function of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States ("Google"). Google AdWords Conversion Tracking uses so-called "cookies": text data stored on your computer that permit analysis of your use of the website when you click on a Google advertisement. The cookies are effective for a maximum of 90 days. No personal data is thereby stored. While the cookie is effective, we ourselves, as the website operators, and Google can see when you have clicked on an advertisement and accessed a specific landing page (e.g. an order confirmation or newsletter sign-up page). These cookies cannot be tracked across several different websites by different AdWords users. The cookie allows "Google AdWords" to compile conversion statistics. These statistics calculate the number of users who have clicked on one of our advertisements. They also count the number of users who have accessed a landing page equipped with a "conversion tag." These statistics do not contain any data that would permit you to be identified. You can prevent the storage of cookies on your hard drive by selecting "Do not accept cookies" from your browser settings: in MS Explorer, see “Extras > Internet Options > Data Protection > Settings”; in Firefox, see “Extras > Settings > Data Protection > Cookies.” However, we must advise you that this may prevent you from being able to fully utilise all the functions of this website.
